The personnel was nice. the rooms were relaxing and perfect, with comfortable beds. - Fantastic location in a lovely area close to the center of Paris. - Nearby Kouto is a great place to chill out.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel had a good period atmosphere. Clever installation of air conditioning units which did not detract from the art deco decorations.

New-fashioned silent rooms, they are provided with a great variety of pastries and a sofa bed plus spacious shower...

The staff were excellent. the location was particularly good and decent. -Bonne Nouvelle tube station was 5 minutes away. -the practical classic queen room allowed us to enjoy a nice view of the city. Overall, our stay at Hotel L'Echiquier Opera Paris - Mgallery was fantastic. the staff were friendly and helpful, the location was convenient, and our room provided a lovely view of the city. Plus, being just a short walk from Bonne Nouvelle tube station made exploring Paris a breeze.

Really really nice stay with very friendly service. Clean hotel, amazingly nice personnel, absolutely fantastic breakfast. Silent, updated room provided with bathrobe, a great variety of pastries, the balcony. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the area.

Hotel ws not 4* but was ok and staff helpfull as this was needed as I waited for train after ash issues with planes

The Booked.net rate was clear but they tried to charge me 60 Euros more the following morning even though I porduced the Booked.net conformation. I refused and they finally agreed

The central location is great, so close to Bonne Nouvelle metro and cafes. the staff is extremely helpful and very friendly towards all guests.

Location & Size of room

Better to avoid staying there. Worn-out "aged" hotel, shabby wallpaper, curtains, doors, furniture, and broken elevator. The main disappointment was a staff at reception that firstly tried to cheat me with the room rate disputed my reservation on Booked.net and later add mini-bar at the check-out. All cases without any excuses have been explained by regular people mistake.

The location was central and easy to access in Paris. The room was silent and brand-new, complete with pastries. The view of the neighborhood was enjoyable. The breakfasts were extensive and delicious.

Quiet and convenient location for the Eurostar Terminal.

A/C was broken and room was like a furnace. I hope it was red wine splashed up the curtains otherwise it would be blood. Also what looked like the contents of someone nostril wiped on the wall near the bedstead.

Hotal room was much bigger than some you get in Paris I don't really like Paris, think it is very over priced for the rooms & services offered, but got stuck their due to travel problems.. If you must go to Paris then this is a good hotel

location was not as good as expected, not that close to Opera. Dodgy street. Old building not that well conserved or taken care of. Bad relation value for money

It's close to the Gare Du Nord and a metro station (Bonne Nouvelle). Room was good and spacious. Breakfast was very good, a lot of choice.

The bathroom could use a little update.

The room I stayed in was neat and stylish, complete with a balcony. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of food! The staff were outstandingly accommodating.
